Building Permits Permits to regulate and control new and existing constructions including the construction, election, placement,
alternation, repair, renovation, demolition, relocation, removal, occupancy or change in occupancy of any building, erection
or structure or addition to a building, erection or structure are required under Municipal By-Law No. 90/03 and under Section
4 of the Building and Mobile Homes Act.
Tax Sale Process A council
must in each year offer for sale by auction all properties in the municipality the taxes in respect of which are in arrears
for the designated year. Council may in any year designate the immediately preceding year of any earlier year as the year
for which properties the taxes in respect of which are in arrears for the year must my offered for sale by auction to recover
the tax arrears and costs. The sale of a property at a tax sale auction is final and any interest a person had in the property
before the sale is eliminated. There is no longer the opportunity to redeem property once it had been sold.

Burning
Permits Municipal By-Law No. 4/89-A relative
to the prevention and suppression of fires enacts "No person shall, between the first day of April and the 31st day of
October, light a fire in any area of the municipality without first obtaining a permit for the intended burning from the municipality."
Dog Licences Municipal
By-Law No. 16-92 establishing regulations for the control of dogs within the municipality required the licensing of dogs within
Dominion City, Arnaud, Ridgeville, Tolstoi, Rosa, and Roseau River by May 31 of each year.

Ownership Maps Any property owners who do not want their names published on property ownership maps should
contact the municipal office.
